Our Story
How It All Began
We met at a mutual friend’s game night, an evening full of snacks, laughter, and a slightly chaotic round of Cockroach Poker. As fate would have it, we found ourselves across the table from each other, both doing a terrible job at pretending to be convincing liars. We bonded over our mutual inability to bluff, and what started as shared laughter over a silly card game turned into something so much more.
From Laughter to Love
That game night was the first of many conversations, shared adventures, and quiet moments together. Whether we were exploring new places or just enjoying each other’s company, we quickly realized we’d found something rare and real.
The Proposal
Our engagement story took place in the breathtaking red rocks of Sedona, Arizona. A place that will now forever hold a special place in our hearts.
Before the trip, Ashley may or may not have peeked through Ben's bags looking for signs of a ring (just to be sure!), but when she didn’t find anything, she figured a proposal wasn’t in the cards this time.
On our first day in Sedona, we kicked things off with a bumpy and hilarious ATV adventure through the desert. Later that day, we set out on a secluded hiking trail. As the sun started to set, Ben kept encouraging Ashley to walk faster so we wouldn’t be caught in the dark. So when he suddenly stopped and said he wanted to take a photo with the sunset, it was a little confusing.
But then, he set up the tripod, pressed record, and in front of the most stunning backdrop of golden light on the red rocks, Ben got down on one knee and asked Ashley to marry him.
It was beautiful, personal, and completely unforgettable.
